1915 DODGE ROADSTER FOUR CYLINDER
"ONE OF FIVE"
AMERICAN AUTO COLLECTORS THANK YOU JOHN & HORACE
The Dodge brothers John Francis(1864-1920) and Horace Elgin(1868-1920) represented what was indeed special about American automotive pioneers. From a small machine shop in Detroit, Michigan these two brilliant businessmen were responsible for more contributions to the automotive industry than anyone else. Ransom Olds and Henry Ford both benefited from the genius of John and Horace.
The first Dodge automobile saw birth in 1914, when the Dodge Brothers Incorporated firm was started. Within months over 22,000 Dodge dealers were signed on, based on the expectation of quality cars from this already famous and reliable team. You will note the exquisite styling and artistic detail in this extremely rare 1915 Dodge roadster being offered for auction. It is one of 5 in the entire world. The FOUR others are in: Bakersfield, CA, Tacoma, WA, Boise, ID, & Hamilton, New Zealand. If you should be lucky enough to win this auction, you will be the 5th owner of such a rare and collectible automobile. It weighs 2200 pounds which makes it a large car for its time. It is a convertible and built on a 110 inch wheelbase. Powered by a 32 horsepower four cylinder engine, it is can cruise along any modern street or road and well represent the state-of-the-art for its time, when it sold for $785.00. This car is completely restored and is ready to roll. We hope that new owner will really appreciate what a unique of history will be in their possession.
