A COLLECTORS
FANTASY BECOMES
A REALITY
There is an
advertisement
currently
running on
television which
tries to show
what can happen
when you miss an
opportunity in
history. The
chance to build
Las Vegas,
invest in Apple
Computer, or
Consider the
Internet. Then
there are others
who know when
the right deal
presents
itself. To
those few we
present this
automotive
jewel. One of
the rarest
classic cars in
existence is
actually in our
possession:
THE
1922 PEERLESS
MODEL 56-7, V8.

THE BIG THREE
P's: PEERLESS,
PIERCE ARROW &
PACKARD
These
were the names
that defined the
golden era of
American
automotive art.
The Peerless
Motor Car
Company operated
from 1900 to
1932 and
produced some of
the finest motor
cars in
history.
Considered one
of the top car
producers in
America, they
marketed their
unique
automobiles to
the rich and
famous. They
introduced the
80HP V-8 model
in 1922 and that
is the car you
are viewing in
this auction.
This car was
stored in a
garage for 50
years and was
discovered in
New York by a
vintage car
collector. The
long and
detailed
restoration was
performed by
such notables as
Art Vogel of
Willow
Automotive, and
Dave Brennan a
restoration
mechanic who got
the V-8 engine
purring again.
You will
seldom see
Peerless cars
today. They are
extremely rare
due to their
limited
production as
luxury cars.
Peerless cars
were built with
lots of aluminum
and during WWII
they were sought
after by scrap
metal dealers.
As a result, a
running Peerless
on the road
today is a sight
to be enjoyed
and relished as
you are indeed
looking back
into history.
This automobile
is in perfect
running
condition and is
in mint body
shape. It has
won several
awards, where it
was driven to
the shows, and
is a museum
grade quality.
You will not get
a chance to bid
on this quality
historical
classic twice in
a lifetime. The
owner has
several
artifacts and
items that come
with the
purchase. Study
the photos and
you will have to
agree that this
is a fantasy
that can be a
reality for the
real collector.

The 1922
Peerless is 100%
original with
the exception of
the hood and the
fenders. The
engine was
completely
rebuilt using
original parts
that were
located and used
in the rebuild.
This Peerless
speedster
restoration was
started by Tony
LaPorta 52yrs
ago from a
touring car. He
was a big time
collector/restorer
who started the
Westchester AACA.
Once It
was acquired by
the current
owner, he
rebuilt the
engine and
finished the
restoration. The
graphics are
based on
the Peerless
GREEN DRAGON
theme. There are
three others
done like this
in existence,
one of which ran
the last two
Great American
Races. The
wheels are
wooden and the
tires are in
mint condition.
This auto was
never in bad
weather and was
always
garaged. The
history of the
vehicle has been
documented
completely, and
covered in
several
collector
magazines. It
has won several
awards and
ribbons over the
years. The
latest was at
the Big Indian
Car Show in New
York. All the
service, repair
and shop manuals
are available.
Everything that
the AACA library
has on file for
this vehicle is
available from
the owner.
Since the owner
is an avid
collector, he
wishes to keep
these documents
but will make
copies of
everything for a
fee of 200.00.
This is well
below the price
that was paid
for these
documents. The
car is in
perfect running
and driving
order. It
starts right up
and can be
driven unto any
auto transport
carrier. It has
been driven to
and from every
car show for the
past many years
with no
problems.
