THE
CAR
THAT
STARTED THE
MUSCLE-CAR
ERA:
Certainly
Ed Cole would have
agreed with this
headline. He was
Chief Engineer for
Chevy in the late
50s and he defined
the Impala’s image,
style and
performance. Named
after a South
African antelope,
the Impala became a
separate Chevy model
in 1959. Just the
mention of this
classic name brings
back fond thoughts
in the minds of car
enthusiast all over
the world.
The Chevy
Impala is an
American icon. From
1958 to 2002 over 12
million units were
sold. More homes in
America selected the
Chevy Impala than
any other car in
automotive history.
Mr. Cole you did
good, with a simple
formula: style
matched with
performance.
You have the
chance to own this
American beauty. A
1966 Chevy Impala
Convertible that has
everything: It’s a
Chevy, It’s RED and
it’s a
convertible.
This muscle car
features a 327 ci
300 hp V8 with
Automatic Power
Glide transmission.
It has been
maintained in the
best of conditions
and has never seen
snow or rain. The
previous owner is a
long time car
collector and
restorer and has
taken care of this
vintage beauty for
the past 6 years.
It has very low
52,000 original
miles, and was
driven primarily to
car shows and car
club meetings.
It is in
fabulous condition
as you can see from
the photos taken a
week ago, and it
starts and runs like
the day it was
built. Imagine how
you would look and
feel in this low
rider classic with
the top down during
a summer night
cruise-by. We hope
that the new owner
treasures this true
vintage car and
preserves it in the
style that history
would demand of such
a gem.
